Annotation: Many stands of Pinus halepensis woodland are the result of re-forestation as Knapp 1964: 69 has noticed for Cephalonia, but natural populations are exspected in rocky coastal habitats as at the steep slopes of the west coasts of Lefkada or Zakynthos. On Kastos Pinus halepensis is known only planted (Chousou-Polydouri 2005: 28); the same may be true for Paxos, Kalamos and Ithaka. [2016-05-07]
