Annotation: We have referred all records of Polypodium vulgare to P. cambricum. Both are reported for the Ionian Islands in the checklist »Vascular Plants of Greece« (Dimopoulos & al. 2013: 38), but the latter species was not always discriminated from the former. Our assignment is corroborated by data on the phenology of this fern on Lefkada (Hofmann 1968: 250). A recent record of P. vulgare for Corfu (Borkowsky 1994: 37) remains to be verified. [2024-10-04]
