Annotation: So far we were not successful to observe E. repens on the Ionian Islands though recorded as present in »Vascular Plants of Greece« (Dimopoulos & al. 2013: 124, as Elytrigia repens). Old indications for »Triticum repens« (e. g. Dallaporta 1821: 16, or Mazziari 1834b: 688) most probably should be referred to the widespread Elymus athericus. Even the record from Zakynthos (Margot & Reuter 1840: 36) should be verified though »T. acutum« (which may correspond to Elymus athericus) is also listed.
